Sofia Silva is an artist and photographer. Her projects Spreading Out and Packaged Selves explore the reproducible landscape of our society as a looking glass into contemporary consciousness. More recent Last Stroll through her Eden and Outside – Looking in draw on her own photographic archive to investigate critical moments in her life and give them new meanings.

Her work has been shown at the Art Museum of the Americas, Baltimore Museum of Art, Contemporary Museum, Ricco Maresca Gallery, C. Grimaldis Gallery, Curator’s Office, Maryland Art Place, Palais de Glace, Fondo Nacional de las Artes, Museo Castagnino, Arte x Arte, among others. She was an Artists-in-Residence at Center for Photography at Woodstock, Critic’s Residency Program at Maryland Art Place, and Piramidón-Centre d’Art Contemporani in Barcelona.
